Miku Nakano Bot — Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") describe the rules for using Miku Nakano Bot ("the Bot"), an independently operated Discord application. By adding the Bot to a server or using its commands, you agree to these Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. If you do not agree, please do not use the Bot. Server administrators can remove the Bot through Discord's server settings.

1. What the Bot Does

The Bot offers Discord commands and server-configurable features related to Miku Nakano and community content. Depending on the features currently available, these may include responses to commands and posts from third-party sources such as Reddit. Features and supported commands may change over time. The Bot is provided as a free community project, not as a guaranteed or paid service.

2. Discord Rules and Eligibility

You must be permitted to use Discord under its rules and applicable law. When using the Bot, you must also follow Discord's Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, and other applicable platform requirements. These Terms supplement Discord's rules; they do not replace or override them.

3. Server Administrator Responsibilities

Anyone installing or configuring the Bot must have appropriate permissions for that Discord server. Server administrators are responsible for the settings they choose, including the channels where the Bot is permitted to post and any content or filtering options that may be offered.

The Bot is intended to provide safe-for-work (SFW) community content and interactions. Server administrators are responsible for choosing appropriate channels and ensuring that their use of the Bot complies with Discord's rules and applicable laws. The Bot does not provide NSFW content functionality.

Such material remains subject to the rights of its respective creators and rights holders, and to the applicable platforms' rules. The Bot's operator does not claim ownership of third-party posts, artwork, or characters.

Miku Nakano and The Quintessential Quintuplets are associated with their respective rights holders. This is an unofficial fan-made project and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Discord, Reddit, or the rights holders of the series.

Third-party content and services may change, become unavailable, or contain mistakes. If you believe material surfaced by the Bot infringes your rights or violates applicable rules, please contact the operator using the information below.

6. Data and Privacy

To operate server features, the Bot stores server (guild) IDs, server member counts, and configuration settings created by server administrators. Discord also supplies information needed to process a command and send a response at the time someone uses the Bot. The Bot does not intentionally retain individual user profiles, Discord user IDs, or command histories as stored user records.

7. Availability and Changes to the Bot

The Bot is offered on an "as available" basis. We aim to keep it functional, but do not promise uninterrupted uptime, bug-free behavior, particular response times, or continued access to any feature or external integration. The Bot may be updated, suspended, or discontinued, including when required by technical limitations, third-party changes, or platform rules.

8. Restrictions and Removal

The operator may restrict the Bot's use in a server, disable particular functionality, or stop providing the Bot when reasonably necessary to address abuse, security concerns, legal requirements, or violations of these Terms or platform rules. Server administrators can remove the Bot at any time. For deletion of stored server configuration and metadata, please follow the process in the Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimers and Responsibility

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Bot is provided "as is" and without guarantees about its accuracy, availability, or suitability for a particular purpose. The operator is not responsible for content posted by third parties or for interruptions caused by Discord, Reddit, or other external services.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from using or being unable to use the Bot. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

10. Updates to These Terms

These Terms may be updated to reflect changes to the Bot, legal requirements, or platform policies. The updated version will be published here with a revised "Last updated" date. If a change is significant, we will try to provide additional notice where practical. Continued use after an updated version takes effect means acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
